Follow these technical steps to install the Bricks Builder theme and initialize its visual editing environment on your WordPress site.
Prerequisites
WordPress Core: Ensure your site is running the latest stable version of WordPress.
Server Allocations: Set memory_limit = 256M and max_execution_time = 180 in your server’s php.ini file to ensure smooth loading of the visual editor script arrays.
Step 1: Download the Theme Archive
Log in to your Bricks Builder account dashboard.
Download the latest stable bricks.zip theme file. Keep the file in its original compressed .zip format.
(Optional) Download the Bricks child theme if you plan to implement custom PHP code modifications.
Step 2: Upload to WordPress Themes Directory
Access your WordPress Admin Panel (/wp-admin).
Navigate to Appearance > Themes on the left menu sidebar.
Click Add New Theme at the top of the interface, then click Upload Theme.
Click Choose File, select the local bricks.zip archive, and click Install Now.
Step 3: Activate the Theme
Wait for the server file upload and automated extraction processes to complete.
Once the installation is successful, click the Activate link.
(If using a child theme) Upload and activate the bricks-child.zip file immediately after activating the parent theme.
