Follow these steps to deploy the Salient theme and initialize its layout engines on your WordPress site.
Prerequisites
WordPress Version: Ensure your core installation is updated to the latest stable release.
PHP Configuration: Set memory_limit = 256M and max_execution_time = 180 in your server’s php.ini configuration file to accommodate dynamic page builder compilation and asset imports.
Step 1: Prepare the Theme File
Download the full theme package from your ThemeForest account marketplace.
Extract the main archive locally to locate the installable theme file named salient.zip. Keep this archive file in its compressed .zip format.
Step 2: Upload to WordPress
Log in to your WordPress Administration Panel (/wp-admin).
Navigate to Appearance > Themes using the left navigation sidebar.
Click Add New Theme at the top of the panel, then click Upload Theme.
Click Choose File, select the salient.zip file from your local directory, and click Install Now.
Step 3: Activate the Theme
Wait for the server upload process and file extraction to complete.
Once the successful installation notice is displayed, click the Activate link.
Step 4: Core Dependency & Plugin Initialization
Upon activation, the system will automatically redirect you to the Salient Welcome Dashboard.
Enter your product purchase code in the registration field to unlock automated version updates and the premium template library.
Follow the wizard prompts to install and activate the mandatory core dependencies: Salient Core and the customized Salient WPBakery Page Builder.
Step 5: Import Demo Data (Optional)
From the administrative sidebar, navigate to Salient > Demo Importer.
Browse the pre-built website configurations, choose your target layout, and click Import to deploy structural styling, global settings, and demo content arrays.
